A photo collection of joyful animals that I've been lucky enough to encounter during the past years. Normally I'm not in search of animals to take pictures off but sometimes it just happens.

"In a decaying society, art, if it is truthful, must also reflect decay. And unless it wants to break faith with its social function, art must show the world as changeable. And help to change it."
The world consist of constant movement and change, and we're bound to be reactionaries of those circumstances. This modern live have taught us to move on almost as fast paced as technology, however what's left behind in decay has its own silent compelling story.
In this 1st out of 2 parts compilation I'm posting several places all located on Puerto Rico where instead of the 'traditional' paradise we see on advertisements you get the chance to meet a gritty, abandoned side that still inspires beauty and grace (or at least to some). Read the footnotes for a description of the place where each photo was taken.
Billboards are everywhere, at least in Puerto Rico. The sudden trend of empty billboards along the streets & avenues of Puerto Rico has gotten to the point where I couldn't avoid them any more and had to start collecting their images as they stand still in our pathways lifeless and seemingly forgotten. What is it about them that I feel so compelled to stop and take pictures? Whats the appeal? Maybe is the way that you can see through them as if they advertise just clouds and blue sky, or perhaps is just because it reminds me of change. One thing is for sure, among the many things we encounter and interact in our daily lives some of the more amazing feelings comes because of what it reminds us that is not there instead of the immediacy of the object. Whatever the reason might be I hope you like it.
Here are some of my favorite spots to visit when the heat is up and the sun shines upon Puerto Rico's beaches.
One of the many perks of living in a tropical island is having amazing sunsets and a vast variety of cloud formations. Here I have put together some of my favorite cloudscapes taken most of them while walking in Old San Juan, P.R.
